Governor LePage just signed legislation to end same day voter registration. With the stroke of a pen, Governor LePage ended a 38 year tradition of helping people (especially young people) to vote and participate in our democracy. We heard from members across the state that they are enraged by the law.
We're not going to give up our voting rights without a fight. Yesterday, we marched right down to the Secretary of State with a group of Mainers who filed papers to begin a People's Veto of a new law that makes it harder for people to vote.

We need you in order to be successful. Sign up now to be part of the grassroots campaign to save our voting rights.
If we don't stop this law, tens of thousands of young folks in Maine could be turned away the next time they try to vote.
WE CAN DO THIS.
Will you sign up now to be part of this grassroots effort to overturn this assault on voting rights?
Then email your name, town, and general days/times of availability to Nicola@theleague.com. We can't do this alone. Let your friends know how they can join the People's Veto movement:
